Work

Welcome to Serenelli Industries, the workforce subsidiary of Serenelli Project
Our Mission
To provide meaningful, gainful employment for the formerly incarcerated, to provide valuable services and beautiful designs and products to satisfy church, client, and customer needs, and to develop quality labor streams in skilled trades for businesses.
Therefore I tell you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven.
Matthew 12:31
Work is integral to monastic life as the second half the motto of St. Benedict, Ora et Labora, Prayer and Work. At Serenelli Industries, we are transforming work.
Transforming Work
What we are doing is nothing new, but monasteries following the Rule of St. Benedict have renewed this Christian endeavor for centuries. Our logo’s tag line summarizes our philosophy, transforming work by recovering its theological meaning. Not only that, but we are also professing that work which derives its meaning from the Creator and Redeemer, not merely from its productive value or the wage it earns, is transformative for the soul. Work helps to fulfill human nature and its purpose. We know this because work was given to the first man in the Garden of Eden “to till it and keep it.” Work, considered in itself, is not a necessary evil or a punishment for sin, but a gift from God to participate in His work of creation, and in Christ Jesus in the work of redemption. For this reason, work ought to be balanced and rightly ordered, as should also our desires. It ought to incorporate beauty and ultimately be ordered toward holy rest, where man is able to rejoice in the work of his hands in communion with God who does the same. We strive to create a work environment like this, so that, from people to steeple, we can take care of the Church’s needs.
